Think I help out in here ba... being a vet. for so many years already...

When I go DDR in the past, I will play stepmania or PS2 DDR, or listen to some songs. Then I will imagine the beat formation in my head, like which part of the song got triple steps, which got double steps etc...
This helps me visualise what song I am playing.

For steps familization, its best to diverse the songs you play, the more dance chart you are exposed to, the better you will be in recognisation arrows.

For stamina, this one needs to be built over time, I am getting older by the second, but still can catch up, just need to diet, cut smoking and exercise more lol...

Speed wise, training helps also... the more you train, the better you will be.
Got a song you cannot pass like max 300?? Try other songs that are almost as fast, but not as complicated yet. Maybe like Sakura or healing vision angelic mix.

For double play... other than the tips above, I found this very useful to beginners to learn how to cross from panel 1 to 2.
panel 1, up left down right panel 2, left down right up left panel 1 right
start on panel 1 up arrow with your right leg first, the alternate your leg for every step.
If you ppl still dunno, maybe can go arcade for a live demo by Ray lol.... Sorry Ray, arrow u in ^_^

Well this is all I have to contribute, but please feel free to ask Ray or me if anything crops up.
